Harold
(Hal) W. Burlingame
Mr.
Burlingame is currently at AT&T Wireless,
serving as Senior Executive Advisor, Human Resources
and Communications. He led the Human Resources
and Public Relations initiatives, recruited members
of the Board of Directors, and staffed senior
positions for the new firm.
Mr.
Burlingame previously served at AT&T for 20
years, as Executive VP, Human Resources, Executive
VP, Merger & Joint Venture Integration and
VP, Public Relations. He retired as Executive
Vice President at AT&T in July 2001 when he
joined AT&T Wireless as it spun off as an
independent company. He headed the AT&T Human
Resources organization from 1987-1999, and handled
Merger and Joint Venture Integration. During that
period, AT&T went through several restructuring
steps. He was deeply involved in helping lead
those efforts including the Trivestiture that
spun off Lucent Technologies and NCR. Earlier,
in 1982, he was on the advance team that broke
up the Bell System.
Mr.
Burlingame began his career with Ohio Bell in
1962. He advanced through several operating and
Public Relations assignments. In 1983 was named
Vice President of Public Relations at AT&T
Information Systems. He headed that organization
until 1986, when he was elected Senior Vice President,
Public Relations for AT&T.
